We are Vanessa & Darryl, proud natives of Sanilac County, where we were fortunate to grow up surrounded by our beautiful Michigan countryside

Over the past couple of years, we embarked on a journey of restoring a magnificent piece of property nestled within the heart of Sanilac. With passion and dedication, we transformed our overgrown property into a breathtaking setting that emphasizes the beauty of our countryside. The meticulously curated spaces, from blooming gardens, pines, meadows to woods our property provides the perfect backdrop for capturing the unique personalities and vibrant spirits of the seniors we have the honor of photographing.

While our venture as Sanilac Seniors is new, our artistic journey began in 2015 as full-time videographers for our wedding videography company Sight & Sound. As we traversed the country and our home state of Michigan, we had the privilege of filming countless love stories, capturing the joy, laughter, and precious moments that unfold on a couple's most significant day. It was during these experiences that our appreciation for capturing emotions and preserving memories through visual storytelling truly blossomed.

Now, in 2023, we are excited to embark on this new chapter with Sanilac Seniors. Drawing upon our years of expertise in the world of visual arts, we combine our passion for cinematography with our love for traditional portraiture to create timeless senior photographs that transcend time. Our meticulous attention to detail, understanding of lighting, and ability to capture the essence of each individual result in portraits that are both artistic and authentic.

1 / How Do I Print My Photos?
​Our online print shop is available to you after your session. When you receive your gallery, you'll be able to mark your favorites and create your own folders. When you're ready to print, just select a photo, choose the sizes and quantity then check out! Can't decide on which photos to print? Just save your favorites list and come back to it later. Share your online gallery with friends and family to help decide. Anyone you share your gallery with can order their own prints as well. Want to print your own photos? No problem, just download your gallery and take them to any print shop of your choice.
2 / How Long Until I Receive My Photos?
Our turn around time is anywhere from 1-2 weeks.

3 / Do I Get To Choose My Location?
Our senior sessions are located at our studio property. With over 50 acres of diverse woods, flowering and grassy meadows, pines, hills and ponds, we have a variety of locations to choose from. Depending on the time of year and time of day, each area has a unique seasonal aesthetic. We are familiar with the lighting and best places to use based on each season, making your session go smoothly. Custom location requests are available for an additional fee dependent on location.

We currently only specialize in Senior Portraits at this time.
